Meet the Doctors

Kris W. Hendricks, D.D.S.

Dr. Kris W. Hendricks and his family moved to Santa Fe so he could join Dentistry for Kids. In July 2010, he purchased the office from Dr. Evans, allowing Dr. Evans to retire. Dr. Hendricks studied liberal arts and music at Brigham Young University before moving to Kansas City to begin his dental studies at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He was a four-year scholarship recipient and graduated with honors in pediatric and restorative dentistry.

Following dental school, Dr. Hendricks attended an intensive two-year hospital residency in pediatric dentistry at St. Joseph Hospital for Specialty Care in Providence, Rhode Island. During residency, he became competent in all facets of pediatric dentistry, including surgery, sedation, treatment of trauma, and orthodontics.

Dr. Hendricks is a board certified Diplomate with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and New Mexico Dental Association. He is a staff member at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe and Holy Cross Hospital in Taos.

Dr. Hendricks finds the relationships he develops with his patients and their families to be the best part of his work. He enjoys joking and telling children stories while he provides treatment to them. He wants his patients to enjoy their visits and develop a healthy relationship with dentistry.

As a parent of three kids, he understands the unpredictability of life with children. He tries to make himself available for his patients whenever problems arise. He believes strongly in a preventative approach to dentistry combined with the most up-to-date science and technology.

Dr. Hendricks grew up in Littleton, Colorado and is married to Ginna Hendricks. Together they have two sons, Max and Sandy; a daughter, Lucy; and a Australian Mountain Doodle, Cleo.

In 2014, Dr. Jason Gonzalez moved to Santa Fe with his family to further his career as a dentist. He attended Brigham Young University-Idaho where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He was awarded a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Dr. Gonzalez completed a two year residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the Children’s Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Gonzalez's main area of interest is pediatric dental health. Since his dental school training, he has worked primarily with children, teens and patients with disabilities in Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico.

Dr. G's goal as a dental health provider is to provide quality dental care and promote an educational foundation that will lead to a lifetime of excellent oral health. His passion is to create a dental office encounter such that children feel good about their smiles, and about themselves. He hopes to help their confidence grow. There are few professions that offer that kind of fulfilling opportunity.

Dr. Gonzalez is married and has four children who love drawing, riding bikes and enjoy playing in the water during the hot summer days. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing the guitar and performing magic.
